Nigel writes: Today was the official opening of both sections of the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway, and, more importantly for us, the excellent cycleways that run along each. See the map below. The shorter section runs from Cambridge Station south to Trumpington, with a short branch to Addenbrookes. the longer section runs from Milton Road in Cambridge to Swavesey (the section from Swavesey to St Ives won't be finished for several more months). Cambridge Cycling Campaign organised an inaugural ride along both cycleways, with a picnic lunch in Swavesey. Several CTC members were in attendance.
